It recommends a 550w or greater. I was going to get a 600w for the system, but I wonder if everything else might cause it to draw over 600w altogether? The other parts in the build are a ASUS TUF motherboard, 16gb ram, 3tb WD HDD, Ryzen 5 3600x, and 6 case fans and the back fan is double sided pull/push. Everything is rgb too, the fans, cpu
When you looked at the specs for the Corsair the 850 watt unit has 70 amps on the 12 volt rail the 650 watt Corsair has 52 amps which is still a huge difference compared to the Cooler Master's 36 amps. High end systems draw the bulk of its power from the 12 volt rail so having an adequate amount is crucial when working with higher end systems.

The article claims that a typical fit cyclist might be able to crank out 250 to 300 watts as an average for a 20 minute FTP (functional threshold point) test, but thatās not the case. In fact, according to the article, the average power output of a cyclist is only about 100 watts. Thatās a lot less than the 250-300 watts claimed by the
A 3600 + 5700XT, the midrange tier most people go for, draws a total of 300W under an unrealistic torture test that stressed both CPU and GPU to the max at the same time. Only half of a 650W, still leaving you another 350W of headroom. You clearly don't need a 750/850W unit for the average build of this tier.
